Bring Me the Horizon have given Malta Weekender attendees the first taster of their brand new track ‘Strangers‘, during a DJ set last night (May 26).

Their very own festival titled ‘Bring Me the Horizon & Friends’ aka Malta Weekender, kicked off yesterday (May 26) and is set to continue until Monday (May 30). The Sheffield metalcore band’s first live festival event is currently being held in Malta’s very own Gianpula Village and is set to feature a wide variety of different performances, including a headline set from Welsh rockers Bullet For My Valentine. Additionally, bands such as Beartooth, While She Sleeps, Spiritbox and Wargasm are also set to take to the stage during the four day event.

This is the first single to be released from Bring Me the Horizon since their 2021 effort ‘Die4U’ back in September, predicted to be the debut track from their next upcoming EP release. Vocalist Oli Sykes has been teasing a follow-up to their multi-part EP ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’ for a while now, saying in a 2021 interview that they are ‘working on parts two, three and four’ of ‘Post Human,’ before assuring that they’d ‘get songs out as soon as (they) can’. Sykes continued on saying, ‘We’ve got lots of music, we’re just being quite picky about what we want to release. We must have about 45 songs.’

Bring Me the Horizon are set to go out on tour all over the US with Knocked Loose, grandson and Siiickbrain following their stint at Malta Weekender, starting off in Brooklyn, New York on September 24, before finishing up in Denver, Colorado on October 20. Additionally, they are set to play a lot of festival shows over the next few months, including the likes of Rockfest, Nova Rock, Reading & Leeds and When We Were Young Festival.
