It has been announced that Download Festival will be extended for 2023, with 4 FULL days of music on offer!

The 2023 event is set to commemorate 20 years since the prestigious rock and metal festival opened its gates for the very first time back in 2003.

For the special anniversary, there will now be 4 days of live music for festival goers to sink their teeth into, with FOUR headliners yet to be announced for the one-off event.

Next year’s Download Festival is set to go ahead between June 8-11, 2023 at the Donington Park Circuit in the East Midlands, with early bird tickets already available to purchase here!

In a very exciting announcement earlier in the year, Download Festival organiser Andy Copping has revealed that the headliners have already been picked and booked way in advance; ‘It’s the first time I’ve booked all the headliners in advance ahead of the prior year’s event. That news will come out not too long after this year’s festival, hopefully.’

We’re way, way down the line – because next year is essentially our 20th year so we wanted to do something a little bit special. All I can say is that it will be very, very exciting.’

The news comes not long after the closure of this year’s Download Festival event (June 12), featuring headline acts Kiss, Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro. This was the first normal scale festival event following the Download Pilot last year.

We will be sure to keep you updated with all things Download Festival, so stay tuned for new announcements soon!
