Northlane have unfortunately just announced that they have had to push back the release date for their upcoming sixth studio album ‘Obsidian’.

The metalcore group from Sydney, Australia were originally supposed to be releasing their highly-anticipated album on April 1, 2022 via Believe Records. However, they have revealed via Instagram earlier today (February 20) that they have had to push back the release date due to ‘ongoing supply chain issues affecting everything from vinyl to merch.’ The new release date is set to be April 22.

Northlane have also assured that ‘everyone who has supported us directly by preordering Obsidian will hear this album for the first time in the format they intended.’

This is the first album release for the band since their last compilation ‘Alien’ back in the summer of 2019.

Northlane are also set to go out on tour around Australia later this year, starting in Albury on March 25, before hitting Melbourne, Maroochydore, Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Moore Park, finishing in Fortitude Valley on June 25th 2022.
