The time has finally arrived… Stray From The Path have dropped their angsty new single ‘Guillotine’, which could definitely mean that a new album is in the works!
The Long Island hardcore punk group revealed the new track earlier today (February 22) on their social media accounts. The lyrics appear to discuss the controversial topic of suicide and how ‘desperate’ some people become in the moment, with vocalist Drew York singing ‘Death I can guarantee / As quick as a cut can bleed / When it drops it can’t be stopped / No plan B, just the guillotine’.
‘Guillotine’ marks the introduction to a slightly heavier sound for the band, with the use of more aggressive, emotional vocals as well as powerful guitar riffs throughout. This is the first release for Stray From The Path since their tenth studio album ‘Internal Atomics’ back in late 2019.
Stray From The Path are also set to join Underoath, Spiritbox and Bad Omens on a tour of the US, starting in Los Angeles on February 24, before finishing in St Petersburg on March 27. They are also teaming up with Beartooth and Motionless in White for a set of rescheduled dates in the UK and Europe next year.
